Activities around our gîtes
There are bags of things to do and see for our guests: swimming pools, hiking, sights around the Dordogne region...
Active holidays or farniente, the choice is yours!
Around the Domaines Les Genêts and La Cabane, kids and adults can amble in open fields within sight, play ball games and meeting our donkeys friends will delight the little ones.
Within and around the estate, you can jog, walk or cyle on well maintained leafy trails for a few minutes or half a day. You will find in the close neighbourhood geese and duck farms to visit, fishing ponds (3 km), horse riding centres, rivers, canoeing (8 km).
And of course, between May and Octobre, you can sip in the swimming pools, in all weather thanks to the shelter system.
In the village Thenon (3 kms), you can play tennis, fish, or try the forest activity park: l’Appel de la foret.
Within easy reach (less than 15 km), you can find horse riding schools, river kayaking, cave exploration / speleology, cliff climbing. You can also visit working farms and duck/geese breeding farms.
But you can of course decide to take it easy, enjoy the sunchairs, apéritif and listen to the cicadas singing...
